Online Divorce Mediation
Moving Ahead
Perhaps you have been considering divorce mediation, but are hesitant about moving ahead during this time due to COVID-19.
Mediators are creative by nature. We are always looking for ways to make things work when we face obstacles, and the current situation is no exception. We have quickly moved on-line with Zoom video conferencing mediation as a safe alternative to in-person mediation.
Online mediation works as well as in person mediation, and it even provides some benefits over meeting in person. First and foremost, it is a safe alternative to meeting in person during this pandemic. You do not have to risk exposure by traveling to my office and sitting in a room with others for an extended time.
In addition to the safety provided, some participants feel more at ease in online mediation because they are physically distanced from the other participant. Some participants find it is simply more comfortable to be in their own environment than in my office. Online mediation also reduces the need to travel to and from mediation, reducing the amount of time and hassle to attend mediation.
My experience has shown me that online mediation can be as effective as in-person mediation.
I offer a 30 minute free online mediation consultation to parties interesting in learning more about online mediation.
